Had a meeting at Punch Bowl Social in Cleveland today. I only saw part of the restaurant, but this is a really cool building with a lot to photograph.
Portraits of Lacey
A bad back has kept me from heading out with the camera since last fall. I'm on the mend, but not 100%. So I'm getting back into practice with my dog Lacey as the model.
Lacey is a Boxer mix rescue I adopted from the Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue based in Dayton. She was abandoned in the park. The rescue had her in foster care for 6 months before I brought her home. She's been with me since March of 2016.
Lacey is super cool and relaxed in the house, but loves to go outside and play. She loves her dogsitters, our neighbor Larry, and Rachele when I travel. But, I think she loves the dog park at Canine Meadows even more!
Website Refresh
I decided it was time for a refresh of the website. I don't have much new to add at the moment, but I will do a few blog posts of some random photos and collections. I plan to update my Fine Art America store as well.
It's been a while since I've posted. A bad back has kept me from getting out with the camera. I recently started taking pictures of my dog Lacey, trying to get back in the habit. I also have been making an effort with my iPhone.

Bowling
A bad back prevented me from bowling, but I took a few shots with the camera and decided to get a little creative.

Downtown Fairport Harbor Panorama
Downtown Fairport Harbor (200 block), a few blocks from where I live. Today there were no cars parked on the street, allowing me to get a decent panorama.
Fairport Harbor's location at the mouth of the Grand River made it an ideal place for a settlement. After being claimed as part of the Connecticut Western Reserve by the Connecticut Land Company in 1796–1797, the town of Grandon was platted there on May 16, 1812. When the town incorporated in 1836, the name was changed to "Fairport." Fairport is a commendatory name. The current name was adopted in 1959.
After receiving federal sponsorship, the village's port flourished, and an influx of Finns, Hungarians, and Slovaks arrived there. The port also imported iron ore for use at area steel mills. The port continues operation at a more limited capacity.

My dad was honored tonight with a legacy recognition. The new Mentor Public Library lobby is named the Kilbourne Commons after my dad, Terry Kilbourne. Congratulations Dad!

The Water Collection
These photos are not new, but I took time to reprocess, clean them up a bit, and make a collection.
Gallery125
I'm excited to announce my first gallery show beginning next week, November 17th 2016. At Gallery125
Gallery125 has a goal to demystify the process of purchasing art. They believe everyone should have access to quality, one-of-a-kind pieces. Everyone should feel empowered to seek those pieces that speak to them personally.
Gallery 125 will always show pieces with an asking price of $125 or less.
It's a small gallery and space is limited, so it was a challenge to select a group of photos that may appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Photos I like, because of a moment or memory, are not necessarily my best photos. Photos that my family and friends like, are not necessarily my favorite. After some input from a select group of artistic friends, I put together this collection of six photos.

Maria's Field of Hope
On my way home from Detroit and Toledo today, I stopped at Maria's Field of Hope, a giant field of sunflowers in Avon, Ohio.
The Prayers from Maria Foundation first planted the Sunflower field in 2014 to gracefully draw attention to the lack of funding for childhood cancer. The field was inspired by the memory and spirit of Maria McNamara, planted as a way to love and honor the courageous children who are battling cancer and those we have lost.
